What are the types of wooden equipment on steel-wood shelves?
The wooden boards of steel-wood shelves are paint-free boards, but the raw materials vary. For unused raw materials, their applications also differ. For instance, particle boards are commonly used for customized steel-wood shelves, which require less adhesive. For a detailed classification, please refer to the following analysis.
(I) Fireproof and flame-retardant panels.
Some shopping malls have special requirements for decoration materials, and shelf parts also need flame-retardant materials, which are mostly used in shopping malls.
The four types of boards mentioned above are the three common types of boards used in the production of steel-wood shelves for stores. Therefore, store owners may have questions. Does this mean that the wood next to steel-wood shelves must be selected from eco-plywood? But not necessarily.
Good environmental protection function,
With the advantages of mold resistance, heat preservation, and economy,
High resistance to deformation.
(II) Melamine eco-plywood.
Solid wood multilayer board, also known as plywood, is a man-made board made of multilayer plywood arranged in a staggered pattern as the base material, through cold pressing, hot pressing, sanding, curing, and other processes;
Advantages: It combines the advantages of medium-density fiberboard and particle board. Medium-density fiberboard has stable structure and moisture resistance, while particle board has good quality, easy movement, good solid wood characteristics, good structure, not easy to crack, strong waterproof function, easy processing, and can be reinstalled.
Disadvantages: High cost, uneven market quality, which may lead to poor environmental protection performance, short service life, soft texture, and lower anti-deformation capability than particle board.
(III) Melamine density board.
Density board, also known as plant-based dry board, is a man-made board made by hot pressing, gluing, drying, spreading, and then heat limiting;
Advantages: High flatness, strong plasticity, not easy to crack, can be carved, and easy to process;
Disadvantages: It expands when exposed to water and is prone to deformation.
(IV) Melamine particle board.
Particle board is made of wood particle board or glued leftover pieces.
Advantages: Strong environmental protection, not easy to deform, high strength, low cost, stable performance, good flatness, and uniform thickness;
Disadvantages: Not moisture-resistant, heavy, poor plasticity, and poor nail holding capacity;
However, it is a commonly used customized shelf board.
Therefore, some shelves next to steel-wood shelves mostly adopt this type of board, with a thickness of 18-25mm;
For nailed parts like cash registers or steel-wood shelf backboards, density boards are used, with a thickness of 5-15mm;
As long as fruit and vegetable shelves require steel-wood shelves with strong waterproof function, they will be made of eco-plywood.
